Tip of The Day

Explore the beautiful nature surrounding Cedar City by taking a hike at one of the many nearby trails such as Kanarraville Falls or Cascade Falls.

Temple View Commons, a Cedar City twinhome developer, has launched a two-week donation-matching campaign to support elementary arts programs in the Iron County School District.

Running until April 13, the initiative invites local residents and businesses to contribute online, with the developer matching funds up to $2,700.

All proceeds will go to the Iron County School District Foundation and will be equally distributed among the district’s nine elementary schools, bolstering much-needed arts education.

Utah lags behind in per-pupil education funding, and existing programs like the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program don’t reach every school.

This campaign aims to provide art supplies and relieve teachers, who often pay for materials out of pocket.

Development founder Weston Marcum and foundation coordinator Shauna Lund stress that strong arts programs foster creativity, confidence, and community spirit for Cedar City’s youth.
