The Shakespeare Festival discount is a nice touch. Good way to get people who normally skip it to actually give it a try.
Paul WhitmoreAgreed. My husband has lived here 15 years and never been once. Maybe this is finally the year I drag him over there.
Does anyone know if the Battle of the Bands is open to the public or just students? Asking for my teenager who loves that stuff.
Cami J.Pretty sure it is open to the public, we went two years ago and had no connection to the school at all. Just show up and you should be fine.
Feels like homecoming gets bigger every year. Cedar City really does embrace SUU and it shows during this week.
longtime_localIt really does. I remember when homecoming felt like a campus only thing and now the whole town is kind of in on it. Pretty cool to see.
Free food on the Library Quad is a good way to get people out. Smart move by the organizers.
Rick OlsenWorks every time too. My son basically lives in his dorm but free food gets him out in about two minutes flat.
Powder Puff game at Eccles is always such a good time to watch. The crowd energy is unreal.
The music center opening is a big deal for this town. Long time coming and really glad it finally happened.
jess_cedarMy daughter is a music student there and she has been waiting on this for two years. Such a great thing for the program and for Cedar City honestly.
Hope the football team actually shows up this time. The parade gets people hyped but then the game is a letdown.
Nobody ever talks about the food fair enough. The international food fair is seriously underrated and I look forward to it every single year.
Kendra M.Completely agree. Last year I tried food from three countries I had never eaten before. It is genuinely one of the best events of the whole week.
Miss these days so much. The homecoming parade alone is worth the drive back to Cedar City.
suu_alum_99Class of 04 here and same. There is something about that parade that just hits different when you have not been back in a while. Worth every mile.
The car show is always one of my favorite parts. Took my kids last year and they talked about it for weeks.
Dave T.The car show is so underappreciated. My dad and my 8 year old both loved it last time we went, not easy to find something that works for that age gap.
