Brian Head Resort Wraps Up Ski Season with Spring Festivities

Brian Head Resort celebrated its closing weekend with a burst of community spirit, offering locals and visitors live music, themed ski events, and the annual “Pond Skim” competition. 

The multi-day event drew hundreds, capping another successful season that boosted local tourism and provided outdoor fun for families. Organizers highlighted the economic ripple effect on Cedar City’s hotels and restaurants, with positive feedback from out-of-town guests.

The closing festivities saw skiers and snowboarders donning costumes, participating in friendly competitions, and enjoying bluebird conditions on the slopes.

Local vendors set up booths, selling food and crafts, making the celebration a true community affair. The “Pond Skim,” where brave participants attempt to glide across icy water at the base of the hill, drew especially large crowds and plenty of laughter.

Resort management expressed gratitude for the strong turnout and community support, noting that this year’s season saw record snow levels and excellent safety metrics. They invited everyone to return in the summer for mountain biking, hiking, and music festivals planned in the coming months.
