Cedar City Gears Up for a Vibrant June 2025 with Exciting Events

Cedar City, Utah, renowned as "Festival City USA," is set to host a series of dynamic events throughout June 2025, promising residents and visitors an array of cultural, musical, and community experiences.

Utah Shakespeare Festival

Beginning on June 16, the esteemed Utah Shakespeare Festival will commence its summer season at the Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre. This year's lineup includes classics such as "Macbeth," "As You Like It," and "Antony and Cleopatra," alongside contemporary favorites like "Steel Magnolias" and "Dear Jack, Dear Louise." Theater enthusiasts can immerse themselves in these performances through October 4.

Groovefest Music & Art Festival

From June 23 to June 27, the Groovefest Music & Art Festival will transform Main Street Park into a hub of live music and art. Attendees can enjoy performances spanning genres like blues, folk, bluegrass, country, Americana, and jazz. The festival also features art displays and food vendors, making it a highlight of Cedar City's summer calendar.

Junior Master Gardening Program

For younger community members aged 6 to 12, the Junior Master Gardening program offers educational sessions on June 5, 12, 19, and 26. Held at 1065 N Airport Rd, these sessions run from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, providing hands-on gardening experiences and fostering a love for horticulture among children.

Farmers Markets

Every Saturday in June, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Cedar City Farmers Market and Festival City Farmers Market will be open. These markets offer fresh local produce, artisanal goods, and a chance to support local farmers and vendors.

Additional Community Events

On June 7, the Cedar City Farmers Market will take place at the Intermountain Farmers Association, located at 889 S Main St Space 905. Additionally, the Cedar City Lions Club is preparing for the 85th Annual Independence Day Parade & Festival, themed "Freedom in Action," scheduled for July 4. While the parade is in July, preparations and community involvement begin in June, with the application deadline for parade entries set for June 15.
