CEDAR CITY, Utah - For the first time in program history, the Southern Utah University Men's Rodeo Team captured the 2026 Rocky Mountain Regional Championship, capping an extraordinary season with a 9th-place national finish.

Brothers Blake and TJ Bowler led the charge, earning third place nationally in Team Roping at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. Their blazing 5.6-second final-round performance showcased the grit and precision that defined SUU's historic season.

Five exceptional T-birds qualified for nationals: Blake Bowler (Regional All-Around Cowboy Champion), TJ Bowler (Reserve Champion), Brian Evans (2nd in Saddle Bronc), Rilee Christensen (3rd in Goat Tying), and McCrae Fillmore (3rd in Team Roping).

The team's success reflects years of dedication and the growing strength of SUU's rodeo program, which topped nine competitive schools to claim the regional title.
