As temperatures warm across Iron County, Southern Utah's wildflower season is in full swing, offering Cedar City residents spectacular viewing opportunities throughout the area.
Local botanists report that this year's combination of winter moisture and spring warmth has created ideal conditions for desert wildflowers. Cedar Breaks National Monument is already showing early blooms at lower elevations, with expectations for peak viewing in mid-May at higher altitudes.

Southern Utah University’s Community Education program is opening registration for a dynamic lineup of summer classes crafted for all interests and ages.
Residents can explore new hobbies through Dutch oven cooking, alcohol ink painting, basket weaving, yoga, cake decorating, Bard to Ballet, and outdoor activities like hiking local forests.
Several classes focus on fun, family engagement, and practical skills such as parenting without technology and financial strategy workshops.
