The Canyon View High School boys and girls swim teams achieved a historic sweep, each capturing the 3A state championship.
For the boys, their victory broke a four-year runner-up streak, finishing with an impressive 353 points, outpacing Union by a wide margin.
The girls dominated even further, amassing 509 points—over twice their closest competitor.
Head coach Kirt Brown celebrated this all-around triumph, highlighting record-breaking swims and multiple personal bests from his dedicated athletes.
Star junior Sean Cannon set new 3A state records in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, while Ty Lauer and Ryker Poulos also claimed individual golds, powering the boys team to the top.
Senior Soleil Grimshaw led the girls, winning two events and earning the meet's top female swimmer honor alongside relay victories and strong performances from Sydni Lauer, Gracie Taylor, and others.
