Dixie National Forest will begin prescribed fire operations in the Cedar City Ranger District starting the week of October 28, 2025.
Targeted burns will cover key areas near Swain’s Creek, Mammoth Creek, Duck Creek, and Cedar Mountain across Kane, Iron, and Garfield Counties.
These controlled fires aim to minimize hazardous fuels, protecting communities, infrastructure, and natural landscapes from potential wildfires.
